The Town of Scott held its annual town meeting on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at 5PM at the Scott Town Hall. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Chuck Huffman. Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of the 2019 Town of Scott annual town meeting. Minutes approved as read.

Treasurer Paul Shepherd and Jim Van Wychen gave the financial report. Supervisor Henry Van Wychen moved and Paul Shepherd seconded a motion to approve financial report. Motion passed.

Nodji Van Wychen moved and Paul Shepherd seconded a motion to appoint Bank First as our town depository for 2020. Motion passed.

Road work completed for last year included Augusta Road, Drake Avenue to the west and the straightening of Crescent Road.

Supervisor Dan Draeger moved and Paul Shepherd seconded a motion to approve liquor license for Van Wychen Wines. Motion passed.

Nodji Van Wychen gave the Pine Grove Cemetery report. No Memorial Day ceremony service is planned for 2020 due to COVID 19. Henry Van Wychen moved and Paul Shepherd seconded a motion to give $500 to the Pine Grove Cemetery for upkeep for 2020. Motion passed.

The ATV and UTV ordinance for the township was discussed. The ordinance has to be passed by the annual town meeting and also at the town board meeting. It was passed by the annual town board meeting but needs to be also approved at a town board meeting.

The annual county clean sweep program will not be held this spring but there will be a two-day event in October on a Friday and Saturday.

The next annual town meeting will be held on Tuesday April 19, 2021, at the Scott Town Hall.

April 6, 2021, will be town board elections for the 2021 – 2023 biennium.
