The Town of Scott held its May Town Board meeting on Monday, May 17, 2021, at 5:45 p.m., at the Scott Town Hall. All board members present along with Nodji Van Wychen and Mary Shepherd.
Chairman Charles Huffman called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen reviewed the April meeting minutes. Minutes approved.
Paul Shepherd gave the treasurer’s report. The town clerk also reviewed Form CT which is the financial report form for calendar year 2020 that is filed with the state of Wisconsin. Supervisor Henry Van Wychen moved and Supervisor Dan Draeger seconded a motion to approve financial report and file for audit. Motion approved.
The town board reviewed the road work done this past month and reported on the road tour they took on May 16, 2021. Brush has been cleaned up along Buckley Avenue by Randy Schwemmer. The board will get bids on seal coating the balance of Copper Road not seal coated last year.
Chuck Huffman reported he acquired a new flag from Tomah American Legion Post 201 for the flagpole in front of the town hall. It is made from nylon and should last for three years. Chuck Huffman moved and Dan Draeger seconded a motion to make a $50 donation to American Legion Post 201 for the flag and their help installing it. Motion passed.
There was no public input.
The Board of Review was discussed. Because of the reassessment it was moved and seconded to postpone the Board of Review to August.
The next meeting is set for Monday June 21, 2021, at 5 p.m., at the Scott Town Hall.
Henry Van Wychen moved and Dan Draeger seconded a motion to adjourn the May town board meeting and pay town bills. Motion passed.
