The Town of Scott held its 2022 Annual Town Meeting on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at 5 PM, at the Scott Town Hall. Board members present were Chairman Chuck Huffman, Supervisor Henry Van Wychen, Supervisor David Potter, Treasurer Paul Shepherd and Clerk Jim Van Wychen. Also attending were Mary Shepherd and Larry Johnson.
Chuck Huffman called the annual meeting to order and Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of the April 2021 Annual Town Meeting. David Potter moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded motion to approve minutes as read. Motion passed.
Paul Shepherd and Jim Van Wychen gave the financial report for 2021. The township has all bills paid and a reserve amount. Town financial report will be filed in May to the state of Wisconsin. Financial reports for 2021 will be reviewed at the May town board meeting. David Potter moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to approve financial report for 2021 and appoint Bank First as the township’s depository. Motion passed.
Town road work that was completed in 2021 was reviewed. Road work done included seal coating 2 miles of Copper Road along with widening Copper Road from Buckley Avenue to County EW. Additional gravel added to Drake Avenue. Tree trimming was done on Buckley Avenue. Henry Van Wychen moved and David Potter seconded motion to allow the Scott Town Board do whatever town road work needs to be done for 2022. Motion passed.
Chuck Huffman moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to approve a $500 donation to the Pine Grove Cemetery Association for upkeep of the cemetery. Motion passed.
Paul Shepherd moved and David Potter seconded a motion to approve liquor license for 2022-2023 for Van Wychen Wines. Motion passed.
The Spring Monroe County Clean Sweep will be held on Saturday April 30, 2022, from 8 AM to 2 PM at the Monroe County Landfill in Norwalk.
Town elections for town offices will be held in April 2023
Henry Van Wychen moved and David Potter seconded a motion to adjourn annual town meeting. Motion passed.
