The Town of Scott held its July board meeting on Monday, July 11, 2022, at 5 PM, at the Scott Town Hall. All board members present along with Jack Potter, Lorry Erickson, Larry Johnson and Mary Shepherd.
Chairman Chuck Huffman called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of the June 2022 board meeting. Minutes approved as read.
Paul Shepherd gave the treasurer’s report. We received the second payment of our American Rescue Plan Act funds. Paul will put the ARPA funds in the town’s money market account. Supervisor Henry Van Wychen moved and Supervisor David Potter seconded the motion to approve treasurer’s report and file for audit. Motion passed.
Larry Johnson gave the road report. Road patching was done, along with tree removal. Seal coating on Copper Road is scheduled for the end of July.
A discussion was held on the Bob Meirs’ property and the cleanup of fire damaged property. Clerk will contact Mr. Meirs about the cleanup of his property.
Primary election is set for August 9, 2022, from 7 AM to 8 PM, at the Scott Town Hall.
Next town meeting is set for Monday, Aug. 15, 2022, at 5PM, at the Scott Town Hall.
David Potter moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded motion to adjourn July board meeting. Motion approved.
