MARCH 2016 TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES – The Town of Scott held its March meeting on Monday, March 21, 2016, at 6PM at the home of Town Clerk Jim Van Wychen. All board members present along with Lorry Erickson, Jack Potter, Nodji Van Wychen and Larry Johnson. Town Chairman Charles Huffman called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of February board meeting. Minutes approved as read.

Town Treasurer Paul Shepherd gave the treasurer’s report. Balance of property tax collections have been turned over to the county. Supervisor Henry Van Wychen moved and Supervisor Dan Draeger seconded a motion to approve treasurers report and file for audit. Motion passed.

Larry Johnson gave the town road report. He indicated that there are 5 tubes that should be replaced on 2-mile section of Copper Road that we are considering widening. Larry will give us a bid on replacing the tubes. The Copper Road project is at a stand still until a Karner Blue butterfly assessment is done. We did get a bid from Lambert Forest Products for removing trees and stumps. The town board will review the town roads on April 5, 2016 at 5 PM.

During Public Input, Lorry Erickson explained how to sign up on the township website to receive an e-mail of when notices are posted.

There will be a election worker training session with the Village of Warrens on March 30 at 3 PM.

The annual town meeting is set for Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 6 PM. The April Town Board Meeting will follow the annual town meeting. Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to adjourn March town board meeting. Motion passed.
