The Town of Scott held its April Town Board Meeting at 7PM on Monday, April 24, 2017, at the Scott Town Hall. Minutes of the March 2017 Board Meeting were approved as read.
Paul Shepherd gave the financial report. We just received our payment in lieu of taxes from the federal government. Highway aids payments from the state come quarterly. Henry Van Wychen moved and Dan Draeger seconded motion to approve financial report and file for audit. Motion passed.
Larry Johnson gave the road report. He is almost done hauling sand fill along Copper Road. He cleaned up wind damage, removed beaver dam on Crescent Road, and has to repair guard rail and post signs on bridges on Buckley Avenue. A discussion was held on how and how much gravel to put on the shoulder of Copper Road. We can purchase recycled concrete from Monroe County. Will plan to purchase about $30,000 worth of gravel from county. Larry will also replace tubes on Copper Road before we put the gravel on shoulder.
Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to join the Wisconsin Independent Assessing Association for $100. Motion passed.
A discussion was held on our town building ordinance. It was suggested to change the age of mobile homes that can be brought into town. Town clerk will look into changing that ordinance. Next meeting is set for 5 PM, Monday May 15, 2017, at the Scott Town Hall.
Henry Van Wychen moved and Dan Draeger seconded motion to adjourn April town board meeting. Motion passed.
