The Town of Scott held its July board meeting on Monday, July 17, 2017, at 6PM at the Scott Town Hall.  All board members present along with: Dane Pasch, Nodji Van Wychen, Larry Johnson, Mary Shepherd, Jack Potter and Lorry Erickson.

Chairman Chuck Huffman called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of June 2017 board meeting.  Minutes approved as read.  Paul Shepherd gave the treasurer’s report.  We have one more state highway aid payment coming in and our shared revenue in November.  Supervisor Henry Van Wychen moved and Supervisor Dan Draeger seconded a motion to approve treasurer’s report and file for audit.  Motion passed.

Larry Johnson gave the road report.  The five tubes have been replaced on Copper Road.  Mike Strohmeyer will work with Larry on getting gravel hauled and spread and compacted.  Drake Avenue was patched again.  Trees need to be removed from right of way which Larry will do.  Henry Van Wychen moved and Dan Draeger seconded a motion to hire Critter Getter to remove beavers from ditches along Crescent Road.  The fee is $50 per beaver removed.  Contract is for two years.  Motion passed.

Nodji Van Wychen gave a report on County EW.  For financial reasons the portion of County EW from bridge on the East Fork of the Lemonweir to Warrens Village limits will not be done this year but will be done in 2018.  The August Wisconsin Towns Association county unit meeting will held in the Town of Greenfield on August 17, 2017.  Next Town of Scott board meeting will be held on Monday August 21, 2017, at 6PM at the Scott Town Hall.  Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to adjourn meeting.  Motion passed.
