The Town of Scott held its July 2018 board meeting on Monday July 16, 2018, at 5:30 PM, at the Scott Town Hall. All board members present along with Jack Potter, Lorry Erickson, Nodji Van Wychen and Larry Johnson.

Chairman Chuck Huffman called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of June board meeting. Minutes approved as read. Paul Shepherd gave the treasurer’s report. He explained the reduction in our Managed Forest Law payment from the DNR this year. Supervisor Henry Van Wychen moved and Dan Draeger seconded a motion to approve treasurer’s report and file for audit. Motion passed.

Larry Johnson gave the road report. Holes have been filled on Crescent Road. Culverts on Copper Road will be black topped over this week by Scott Construction. Chuck is mowing roads for the second time. Chuck will talk to Jim Brown and have him wait on summer road grading.

A discussion was held on the Jim Frei property. As of the July board meeting, Mr. Frei has not done anything to clean up property as ordered. Supervisor Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to have the clerk notify Mr. Frei that if his condemned building is not razed in two weeks that he will be billed for the costs associated with cleanup, along with administrative costs. Motion passed.

The Town Clerk will get handicap ramp entrance painted and bricks repaired on Town Hall before the Aug. 14 primary election.

Upcoming meetings: Wisconsin Towns Association district meeting is Thursday, August 16, 2018. The next Town of Scott board meeting will be Monday, August 20, 2018, at 5:30 PM, at the Scott Town Hall.
Primary election will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2018, from 7 AM to 8 PM at the Scott Town Hall. Lorry Erickson will be the deputy clerk and will conduct the election that day.

Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to adjourn meeting. Motion passed.
