The Town of Scott held its April Town Board Meeting on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at 5:45 PM, at the Scott Town Hall. All board members present along with Mary Shepherd, Larry Johnson, Jack Potter, Lorry Erickson and Nodji Van Wychen.
Chairman Chuck Huffman called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of the March board meeting. Minutes approved as read.
Paul Shepherd gave the treasurers report. All current town bills paid with only one small check to a vendor that has not been cashed yet. Supervisor Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to approve the treasurers report and file for audit. Motion passed.
Larry Johnson gave the road report. He had to plow roads one time in April. He also cleared downed trees on town roads, cleaned ditches and culverts on Crescent Road, and has started patching roads. Town board members will review the condition of roads and prioritize projects for this summer.
The ATV/UTV ordinance was reviewed again. If problems arise on any of the roads, the town board reserves the right to review the ordinance and close sections if deemed necessary. Supervisor Henry Van Wychen moved and Dan Draeger seconded a motion to approve the Town of Scott ATV/UTV ordinance. Motion passed. The ordinance will be posted on the township’s website.
For public input Jack Potter brought up the condition of the Town Shop. After further discussion Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to spend not to exceed $6,000 to fix roof and paint the town shop. Motion passed.
Upcoming District 7 Congressional Election will be held Tuesday, May 12, from 7 AM to 8 PM, at the Scott Town Hall. The same election workers who worked at the April election will work at the May election, as they have been trained in COVID-19 procedures.

- Pine Grove Cemetery Association meeting 4 PM, May 18, 2020.
- 2020 Open Book/Board of Review 4:45 PM, May 18, 2020. Will meet to postpone to a future date.
- Town of Scott May Board Meeting, 5 PM, May 18, at Town of Scott Hall.
Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to adjourn April 2020 board meeting. Motion passed.
