The Town of Scott held its August board meeting on Monday, Aug. 20, 2018, at 5:30 PM at the Scott Town Hall. All board members were present along with Jack Potter, Lorry Erickson, Mary Shepherd, Nodji Van Wychen and Larry Johnson.

Chairman Chuck Huffman called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of July 2018 board meeting. Minutes approved as read. Treasurer Paul Shepherd gave the treasurer’s report. Supervisor Henry Van Wychen moved and Dan Draeger seconded a motion to approve treasurer’s report.

Larry Johnson gave the town road report. Copper Road is completed. Drake Avenue will need some work. Chuck will see what roads need to be graded this summer. We will wait until September to do our next road mowing.

An invasive species meeting will be held for the county on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, from 9 AM to 12 noon at our town hall. There will be a clean sweep program at the county landfill on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018.

A discussion was held on the Jim Frei property. It was agreed to allow him to have until Sept. 3, 2018, to have his building removed.

We received a letter from the Tomah Ambulance Service that they are planning to increase their 2010 fee by $3.00 per capita for 2019. That would almost double our fee from 2018.

The next town board meeting is set for Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, at 5:30 PM, at the town hall. Fall general election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018.
