JANUARY 2016 TOWN OF SCOTT BOARD MEETING MINUTES
The Town of Scott held its January board meeting on Monday, January 18, 2016, at 6 p.m. at the town clerk’s home. All board members present along with Lorry Erickson, Jack Potter, Nodji Van Wychen and Larry Johnson. Town Chairman Chuck Huffman called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of the December 2015 board meeting. Minutes approved as read.
Paul Shepherd gave the treasurer’s report. Real estate tax collections are coming along good. Tax collections before year end 2015 have been paid to school districts and county. Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to approve treasurer’s report and file for audit. Motion passed.
The Monroe County Economic Development Conference is Thursday, February 25, 2016. Chuck Huffman will be attending for our town board. A Wisconsin Towns Association county meeting will be held on March 18, 2016, in Tomah. Training session for election workers is scheduled for February 8 at 10 a.m. in Tomah. Primary election is set for Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at the Town Hall.
Larry Johnson reported snow plowing is going good. Still have plenty of sand and salt. A discussion was held on the Crescent Road and Copper Road projects that will be worked on this summer. The county approved an ATV route along County Road EW from Auburn Road to Crescent Road in our township.
The next town meeting is scheduled for Monday February 15, 2016, at 6 p.m. at the home of Town Clerk Jim Van Wychen, 3365 Auger Road. Henry Van Wychen moved and Dan Draeger seconded a motion to adjourn January town meeting. Motion passed.
