The July Town of Scott Board Meeting was held on Monday, July 11, 2016, at the Scott Town Hall. All board members present (Chairman Chuck Huffman arrived late), along with Jack Potter, Lorry Erickson, Mary Shepherd and Willie Johnson.

Supervisor Dan Draeger called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of June 2016 board meeting. Minutes approved as read. Paul Shepherd gave the Treasurer’s Report. No major road improvement expenses have come in yet. Supervisor Henry Van Wychen moved and Dan Draeger seconded a motion to accept treasurer’s report and file for audit. Motion passed.

Kevin Croninger, Monroe County District Attorney, appeared at our board meeting explaining why he is running for District Attorney in the upcoming primary election August 9, 2016.

Willie Johnson gave the town road report. Road improvements to Crescent Road from County Hwy EW to State Highway 173 have been done. All the mail boxes have been moved back and black top put down. Lambert Forest Products will be removing trees from the right of way along Copper Road the end of this month. Once trees and stumps are removed, Larry Johnson will replace the tubes on that section of Copper Road.

Primary election will be held on Tuesday August 9, 2016, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Scott Town Hall.

A discussion was held on how to proceed with some noise complaints in the township. It was suggested to write to the property owner and see if they could control the noise before going to authorities.

The next meeting is set for August 15, 2016, at 6 p.m. at the Scott Town Hall. Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to adjourn the July board meeting. Motion passed.
