The Town of Scott held its July board meeting on Monday, July 13, 2020, at 5 PM, at the Scott Town Hall. All board members present along with Jack Potter, Lorry Erickson, Nodji Van Wychen, Mary Shepherd and Larry Johnson.
Chairman Chuck Huffman called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of the June 2020 board meeting. Minutes approved as read. Paul Shepherd gave the treasurers report. Amounts spent on road repairs so far this year were reviewed. Supervisor Henry Van Wychen moved and Dan Draeger seconded a motion to approve treasurers report and file for audit. Motion passed.
Larry Johnson reported on the road repairs that he has completed this past month. An inventory of road signs was completed and sent to Monroe County Highway Department. A discussion was held on what road improvements could be done this year yet. The board will get some additional information and bids for next board meeting.
A discussion was held on replacing our electronic voting machine. Our voting machine will be outdated after the 2021 voting cycle is completed. We will gather more information on the options the county is suggesting and decide at the August board meeting on which new machine to purchase.
Next board meeting is set for Monday, Aug. 10, at 5 PM, at the Scott Town Hall.
The Fall Primary Election is Tuesday, Aug. 11, at the Scott Town Hall. Polls will be open from 7 AM to 8 PM.
Supervisor Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to adjourn July town board meeting. Motion passed.
