The Town of Scott held its June meeting on Monday, June 17, 2019, at 5 p.m., at the Scott Town Hall. All board members present along with Jack Potter, Lorry Erickson, Mary Shepherd, Nodji Van Wychen and Larry Johnson.
Chairman Chuck Huffman called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of May 2019 board meeting. Minutes approved as read.
Paul Shepherd gave the treasurer’s report. All bills paid to date and third state highway aids payment will be coming the first part of July. Supervisor Dan Drager moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded motion to approve treasurer’s report and file for audit. Motion passed.
Larry Johnson gave the road report. Ditching on Crescent Road has helped dry up some areas of the road. Holes were patched on Drake Avenue. Larry will be patching spots on Copper Road once it dries up some. Mike Stromeyer has started grading some of the gravel roads in the town. Dan Draeger replaced tube on Butler Road. The board thanked Jack Potter for mowing Auburn Road.
Nodji Van Wychen reported that she has removed all the old town records from the town shop. She will take them to the Monroe County Local History Room.
A discussion was held on what to do with backhoe attachment for tractor. At this time the board decided to keep it.
Supervisor Henry Van Wychen moved and Dan Draeger seconded a motion to hire Jim Conner to clean and organize shop. Motion passed.
A discussion was held on town shop roof. Jack Potter will get name of person to Chuck to get an estimate on the cost of painting the roof and the rest of building.
Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to a grant building permit to Tim Hancock for his home repair. Motion passed.
The next board meeting is set for Monday, July 22, at 5 p.m., at the Scott Town Hall. Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to adjourn and pay bills. Motion passed.
