The Town of Scott held its monthly board meeting on Monday, June 15, 2020, at 5 PM, at the Scott Town Hall. All board members present along with Mary Shepherd, Nodji Van Wychen and Larry Johnson.

Chairman Chuck Huffman called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of May 2020 board meeting. Minutes approved as read.

Paul Shepherd gave the treasurers report. Supervisor Henry Van Wychen moved and Dan Draeger seconded a motion to approve the treasurers report and file for audit. Motion passed.

Larry Johnson gave the town road report. Larry and his crew have been doing town road patching. Guard rail on Buckley Avenue has been fixed. Chuck Huffman reported that .30 mile on Drake Avenue has been ground up and graded and returned to a gravel road.

Other road projects were reviewed. Henry Van Wychen moved and Dan Draeger seconded a motion to have a section of Crescent Road from County Highway EW to State Highway 173 seal coated. Motion passed. Chuck will get more information on other town road bids.

The township will work with the Monroe County Highway Department to see what road signs we have in the township that are “non-conforming signs,” and which the township needs to replace and which ones the county will do. Road sign for Aurora Avenue still needs to be ordered.

A discussion was held on the voting equipment will need to be replaced by the 2022 election cycle. Town clerk will have additional information for next meeting. A decision will have to be made by the end of August 2020.

  • Board of Review – July 10, 8 AM to 10 AM, at Town Hall
  • Town Board Monthly Meeting – July 13, 5 PM, at Town Hall Town
  • Fall Primary Election – Tuesday, August 11

Supervisor Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to adjourn town board meeting and pay town bills. Motion passed.
