The Town of Scott held its June Board meeting on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 5 PM, at the Scott Town Hall, 28788 Buckley Avenue. All board members present along with Mary Shepherd and Larry Johnson.
Chairman Henry Van Wychen called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of May town board meeting. Minutes approved as read.
Paul Shepherd gave the treasurer’s report. The town had receipts of $84.76 and expenses of $17,826.55 which leaves our checking account balance at $92,085.53 as of May 31, 2025. Supervisor Kade Gnewikow moved and Supervisor Tonya Gnewikow seconded a motion to approve treasurer’s report and file for audit. Motion passed.
The town has to set up a loan account to pay invoices related to the Agricultural Road Improvement Program (ARIP) project. The Board of Commissioners of Public Lands (BCPL) has the lowest interest rates. Tonya Gnewikow moved and Kade Gnewikow seconded a motion to approve a loan with BCPL for $500,000 for the Town of Scott. Motion passed.
The DNR Karner Blue Butterfly survey was scheduled for today, June 2, 2025, but was postponed to June 4, 2025. Because the survey was not completed we could not make a decision on whether to continue with our ARIP project on Copper Road. A special town board meeting will have to be scheduled once the survey is completed.
There was no public input.
