The Town of Scott held its March board meeting on Monday, March 13, 2017, at the Scott Town Hall. Board members present were: Dan Draeger, Henry Van Wychen, Paul Shepherd and Jim Van Wychen. Other present were: Mary Shepherd, Larry Johnson and Jack Potter.
Supervisor Dan Draeger called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of the February 2017 board meeting. Minutes approved as read. Paul Shepherd gave the treasure’s report. He has to settle up dog tax collected yet, otherwise all other tax collections have been turned over to county. Henry moved and Dan seconded a motion to accept treasurer’s report and file for audit. Motion passed.
Larry Johnson gave the road report. He has most of the trees cleaned up along town road right-of-ways from the windstorm the previous week. Now that the road bans are off, Larry will continue working on Copper Road.
A discussion was held on the Wisconsin Independent Assessing Association that we received a request from Claude Riglemon to join. It was decided to have Claude come to one of our meeting to explain more about the association.
April 4 is the Spring General Election. The voting hours are from 7AM to 8PM. Early voting is available from March 15 up to 48 hours before election.
Wisconsin Towns Association District meeting for town officials is Friday March 24, 2017, at Cranberry Country Lodge.
The April Town Meeting and 2017 Annual Town Meeting will be held on Monday April 24, 2017. The 2017 Annual Meeting will be held at 6PM with the April Town Meeting to start following the Annual Town Meeting at about 6:45 PM.
Henry Van Wychen moved and Dan Draeger seconded a motion to adjourn March town meeting. Motion passed.
