The Scott Town Board met Monday, March 19, 2018, at 5PM at the home of Clerk Jim Van Wychen. All board members present along with Lorry Erickson, Jack Potter, Nodji Van Wychen and Larry Johnson.

Chairman Chuck Huffman called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of the February board meeting. Meetings approved as read.

Paul Shepherd gave the treasurer’s report. The township is still short of funds to pay for balance of bills on widening Copper Road. We should be able to get them paid by next meeting. Supervisor Henry Van Wychen moved and Supervisor Dan Draeger seconded a motion to accept the treasurer’s report and file for audit.  Motion passed.

Larry Johnson gave the town road report. Road sign on Brunswick Avenue is missing. Weight limit signs have been posted. Pot holes on Copper Road need to be patched. Chuck will get some bids on various road projects that can be done this summer.

For public input Nodji Van Wychen gave an update on the County Highway EW resurfacing. On March 28, there will be meeting at county explaining the invasive species survey that will have to be done before mowing this summer. County road bans were put on March 5 and will be on for 6 to 8 weeks.

April 3 is the spring general election. Polls will be open from 7AM to 8PM.

The Town of Scott Annual Town Meeting will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at 5:30PM at the Scott Town Hall, 28788 Buckley Avenue. The Town Board meeting will follow the Annual Meeting. Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to adjourn the March town meeting.
