The Town of Scott held its March board meeting on Monday, March 15, 2021, at 5PM, at the home of Town Clerk Jim Van Wychen. All board members present along with Mary Shepherd, Nodji Van Wychen and Larry Johnson.
Chairman Charles Huffman called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of February 2021 meeting. Minutes approved as read. Treasurer Paul Shepherd gave the treasurers report. All tax collections have been turned over to the county. After reviewing the financials Supervisor Henry Van Wychen moved and Supervisor Dan Draeger seconded a motion to accept the treasurers report and file for audit. Motion passed.
Larry Johnson gave the road report. Brushing still needs to be done on Crescent Road and Buckley Avenue. Larry is replacing some signs on the curve on the north end of Augusta Road. Culvert on Coyote Road needs to be replaced this year. Shoulder on Copper Road north of county Highway EW needs to built up. Chuck Huffman got a bid from Asplund Tree Service for trimming trees. Cost is $150 per hour and includes two men and tree boom saw. That does not include picking up tree branches. Chuck will get a bid on what that additional task would cost. Larry Johnson will also provide a bid for clearing brush.
The Town of Scott reviewed an ordinance establishing split shifts for election officials. Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to adopt the split shifts for election officials. Motion passed.
For public input the township is being reassessed for 2021.
The Annual Town Meeting is set for April 20, 2021, at 5PM, at the Scott Town Hall
The April town board meeting will follow the annual town meeting
April 6, 2021 is the Spring General Election.
Henry Van Wychen moved and Dan Draeger seconded a motion to adjourn the March board meeting. Motion passed.
