The Town of Scott held its 2021 annual town meeting on Tuesday April 20, 2021, at 5 PM, at the Scott Town Hall.  The 2021-2023 town board took office at this meeting.  They were sworn in April 7, 2021.  Town board members are: Chairman Charles Huffman, Supervisor 1 Dan Draeger, Supervisor 2 Henry Van Wychen, Treasurer Paul Shepherd and Clerk Jim Van Wychen.  All board members were present along with Mary Shepherd, Nodji Van Wychen, Larry Johnson, Dane Pasch, Lorry Erickson and Jack Potter.

Charles Huffman called the meeting to order and Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of 2020 annual town meeting.  Minutes approved as read.

Paul Shepherd and Jim Van Wychen gave the financial report.  Form CT will be completed by May 15, 2021, and a copy will be available at the May meeting.  The town spent $84,000 on town roads this past year.  Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to accept financial report and appoint Bank First as our bank depository. Motion passed.

Nodji Van Wychen gave the Pine Grove Cemetery Association report.  They are planning a Memorial Day service this year on Monday May 31, 2021.  The Cemetery Association also has adopted a new regulation relating to what and how flowers and other items can be placed on grave sites.  Nodji Van Wychen moved that the town give $500 toward the upkeep of the cemetery.  Paul Shepherd seconded the motion.  Motion passed.

Road improvements for 2020 were reported.  Seal coating, patching, painting town shop and tress cutting. Henry Van Wychen moved and Nodji Van Wychen seconded a motion to have town board do town road improvements they deem necessary.  Motion passed.

Dan Draeger moved and Paul Shepherd seconded a motion to approve a liquor license for Van Wychen Wines. Motion passed.

For public input Nodji Van Wychen reported that Wood County portion of state Highway 173 will be resurfaced this summer. County Highway O will be chip sealed from state Highway 12 to intersection by the Warrens Post Office

The annual town meeting for 2022 will be held Monday, April 18, 2022.

Nodji Van Wychen moved and Dan Draeger seconded a motion to adjourn annual town meeting. Motion passed.
