The Town of Scott held its November Board and 2022 Budget Meetings on Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, at 5 PM, at the Scott Town Hall. All board members present along with Mary Shepherd, Nodji Van Wychen, Jack Potter and Lorry Erickson.
Chairman Chuck Huffman called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of the September board meeting. Minutes approved as read.
Treasurer Paul Shepherd gave the financial report. The only income we have coming for the balance of the year is our shared revenue payment from the state which is approximately $15,500. We have the balance of the Copper Road shoulder work of $10,000 to be paid. Not sure what our snowplowing or road sanding will be for December. Supervisor Dane Pasch moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to approve treasurers report and file for audit. Motion passed.
Chuck gave a road report. Buckley Avenue and Crescent Road were graded. Chuck used Johnson & Sons Excavation and Trucking grader to do the road grading.
The 2022 Town of Scott budget was reviewed. See copy posted on town website. Supervisor Henry Van Wychen moved and Dane Pasch seconded a motion to approve the 2022 Town of Scott budget. Motion passed.
For public input it was suggested that the voting booths be fixed up for the coming elections in 2022. Voters will be filling out paper ballots which will then be processed through our new voting machine.
It was also suggested that we put a newsletter in with the tax bills listing the town board members and other items pertinent to our township.
The next town board meeting will be on Monday December 20, 2021, at 5 PM, at the home of Town Clerk Jim Van Wychen, 3365 Auger Road, Warrens.
Henry Van Wychen moved and Dane Pasch seconded a motion to adjourn the November 2021 town meeting. Motion passed.
