The Town of Scott held its November board meeting on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022, at 5 PM, at the Scott Town Hall. All board members present along with Mary Shepherd.
Chairman Chuck Huffman called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read minutes of the last board meeting held Sept 12. One correction was made to minutes: $30,000 was transferred from the town’s money account to the checking account instead of $25,000. Minutes approved with that correction.
Paul Shepherd gave the treasurer’s report. Once we receive the town’s share of shared revenue from the state, we should be able to deposit the $30,000 from checking back into the money market fund. Supervisor Henry Van Wychen moved and Supervisor David Potter seconded a motion to approve the treasurer’s report and file for audit. Motion passed.
Town clerk Jim Van Wychen gave a report on the Fall General Election held on Tuesday Nov. 8. The town has 57 registered voters. We had 37 voters.
For the town road report Chuck reported that Drake and Copper Roads were graded.
The 2023 Town of Scott budget was reviewed. It will be voted on at the Nov. 23 town budget meeting.
Henry Van Wychen moved and David Potter seconded a motion to require the new owner of the Bob Meir’s property to have it cleaned up April 1, 2023, or the town will clean it up and bill charges back to the owner of the property. Motion approved.
David Potter moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to approve the 2023 Fire Contract with the Town of Lincoln Fire Department. Motion passed.
The 2023 Town Budget meeting was set for Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 5 PM, at the Scott Town Hall.
The December board meeting will be held on Monday, Dec. 19, at 5 PM at the home of Town Clerk Jim Van Wychen located at 3365 Auger Road.
Henry Van Wychen moved and David Potter seconded a motion to adjourn the November board meeting. Motion passed.
