The Town of Scott held its September 2018 board meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, at 5:30 PM, at the Scott Town Hall. All board members present along with Mary Shepherd, Chuck Brunner, Jack Potter, Lorry Erickson and Kathy Johnson.

Town Chairman Chuck Huffman called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of August board meeting. Minutes approved as read. Paul Shepherd gave the treasurer’s report. The town has one more highway aid payment and our shared revenue payment that will come in November. Supervisor Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to approve treasurer’s report and file for audit.  Motion Passed.

Kathy Johnson gave the town road report. Several trees were cleared from the town roads. Drake Avenue was graded and rolled. Rest of the township’s gravel roads will be graded this fall.

A discussion was held on the Jim Frei property. It was decided to give him until Oct. 1, 2018, to remove condemned building.

A discussion was held on request to help fund Monroe County’s recycling program. Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to support the Monroe county clean sweep program with the 30 cent per town resident assessment that they requested. Motion passed.

A discussion was held on cleaning out town shed. Township records could be taken to Monroe County Local History Room and they could preserve records that they deemed appropriate. Scrap steel could be sold.

Also discussed was the increase in ambulance fee. So far no formal plan has been submitted for town to vote on.

There will be no October town meeting.  Then next town meeting is set for Monday, November 5, 2018 at 5:30 PM at the Scott Town Hall.  November 5 will also be the Town of Scott 2019 Annual Budget Meeting

Supervisor Henry Van Wychen moved and Dan Draeger seconded a motion to adjourn town meeting and pay bills.  Motion passed.
