The Town of Scott is seeking town residents interested in serving as poll workers. A minimum of three poll workers are required for each election. A recently adopted town ordinance allows poll workers to work either a full- or a half-day shift. Poll workers are paid for working at elections and for training sessions they attend.
Poll workers are required to complete six hours of training every two years. Town of Lincoln Clerk Lynda Callaway and Town of Grant Clerk Sandy Wood are offering a training session for area poll workers on Friday, Dec. 17, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Town of Lincoln Fire Department building in Warrens.
A soup-and-sandwich lunch will be provided at $10/person. The Town of Scott will cover the cost for any town residents attending the training.
The 2022 election dates are as follows: Spring Primary (if needed) – Feb. 15, Spring Election – April 5, Partisan Primary – Aug. 9 and General Election – Nov. 8.
For more information or to sign up for the training session, contact Town Clerk Jim Van Wychen by Dec. 14 at (608) 378-4813.
