The Town of Scott December board meeting was held on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, at 5 PM, at the home of Town Clerk Jim Van Wychen, 3365 Auger Road, Warrens. All board members present along with town residents Mary Shepherd and Nodji Van Wychen.

Town Chairman Henry Van Wychen called the meeting to order. Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of the November board meeting. Minutes approved as posted.

Paul Shepherd gave the treasurer’s report. The town has received the Agricultural Road Improvement Program reimbursement for Phase 1 of the Copper Road Project. The reimbursement was 90 percent of the project expense. Since we will not have any expenses on the Copper Road ARIP project until next summer the board discussed what to do with the remaining funds in the interim. Supervisor Tonya Gnewikow moved and Supervisor Kade Gnewikow seconded a motion to have the township take out a CD for $700,000 for 6 months with Bank First. Motion passed. Kade Gnewikow moved and Tonya Gnewikow seconded a motion to approve treasurer’s report and file for audit. Motion passed.

Larry Johnson was not able to attend the board meeting to give the town road report. Snowplowing was done for the first snow of the season. The snowplowing rate is $105/hour this season.

Election workers for the 2026 -2027 election cycle were appointed.  They are: Jamie Potter, Nodji Van Wychen, Paul Shepherd, Kade Gnewikow, Mike Gnewikow and Trey Gnewikow. Election workers need 6 hours of training by Dec. 31, 2025.

The next town board meeting will be held Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, at 5 PM, at the Town Clerk’s home, 3365 Auger Road, Warrens.
