The Town of Scott, Monroe County, WI. held its June Town Board meeting on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 5 PM at the Town of Scott Hall, 28788 Buckley Ave. Warrens, WI. People present at the board meeting: Henry Van Wychen, Kade Gnewikow, Jim Van Wychen, Paul Shepherd, Mary Shepherd, Nodji Van Wychen and Larry Johnson.
Town chairman, Henry Van Wychen called the meeting to order and Town Clerk, Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of May town board meeting. Minutes approved as read. Paul Shepherd town treasurer gave the treasurers report. The town’s $700,000.00 CD came due and will be put in town checking account along with $10,692.16 interest. This will be used to pay for the hot mix paving on phase 1 of ARIP (Agricultural Road Improvement Program). The balance of funds after paying for paving will be put in the savings account and used for the payment of phase 2 on Copper Road this fall. Kade Gnewikow moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to approve treasurers report and file for audit. Motion passed.
Larry Johnson gave the road report. Road patching is done and town road mowing will start in June along with gravel on Drake Ave.
Data Centers were brought up in Public Input. Town board will look into what the town board can do to address this issue and bring back up at the July board meeting. The next town board meeting is set for Monday, July 20, 2026 at 5:30 PM at the Town of Scott Hall.
Kade Gnewikow moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to adjourn the June, 2026 Town of Scott Board Meeting. Motion passed.
