The project is being spread over 3 years. The first phase – the reconstruction of 2 miles from County Highway EW to Buckley Avenue – was completed in 2025. In 2026 the 2 miles from county Highway EW to Buckley Avenue will be paved and the 2-mile stretch from Buckley Avenue to state Highway 173 will be reconstructed. Then in 2027 the stretch from Buckley Avenue to state Highway 173 will be paved.
The township’s share of this project will be approximately $360,000. The town borrowed $500,000 from the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands to be paid back over 5 years from the town road budget.
